2010-04-01 / NEW IJAV WEBSITE
The procedure for paper submission and review of the International Journal of Acoustics and Vibration has been changed. The IIAV website at www.iiav.org/ijav has been completely updated. The full paper handling process is carried out electronically. Each author needs to register on the website. The electronic account information of IIAV members is combined with authors and reviewers of IJAV papers, so that IIAV members, authors and reviewers do not need to re-register but can use the same login name and password when submitting or reviewing a paper for publication. In case someone forgets their password, they can be reminded about it after giving their email address used for communicating with IIAV. Users logged into the IJAV website are able to submit new papers, track the status of their papers already submitted, upload revised papers, responses and/or rebuttals to reviewers, figures, biographies, photographs, copyright transfer agreements, and send comments to the IJAV Editorial Office. Each time the status of a paper submitted changes, the author will also be notified automatically by email.
Experts, who are requested to review a paper, have their reviewer rights assigned to them electronically. They will be able to download papers for review from the website, upload reviews, and monitor the status of the papers. They will also be informed by email about any requests or paper publication decisions.
If a paper requires revision, subsequent revised versions of the paper will be processed via the website as well. Authors of papers accepted for publication will be asked to submit their biographies, head-and-shoulder photographs and copyright transfer agreements directly to the website. After acceptance, their papers will be edited and revised by the IJAV editorial office staff for correct English usage and scientific terminology and will be typeset in the appropriate format. Authors will obtain proofs of their papers after acceptance and will be able to download final versions immediately after they are printed.
Issues of IJAV are ready for display on the website and for free-of-charge downloading by all IIAV members. Non-members are able to display the first page of each paper and purchase immediate access to a full selected paper or an entire issue by electronically paying the appropriate charge through the internet payment system.
We believe that authors, reviewers and guests will find the new updated IIAV/IJAV website easy to use and helpful.
